Banyule Grant writing workshop

Build your understanding of the grant making process from application to acquittal. This interactive workshop will focus on transforming your ideas into fundable concepts for our suite of grants and will take you step-by-step through a grant application.

Topic to be discussed include:

  • where to find the money
  • introduction to the grant making cycle
  • writing a 50-word grabs
  • understanding the assessment criteria
  • working with partners
  • answering questions in application forms
  • building a project budget
  • support material.

About the facilitator

Debby Maziarz is a community development worker and creative entrepreneur who mentors artists, organisations and communities to create solid plans for resourcing their work. Renowned for unearthing innovative and fundable ideas, Maziarz is driven to build the capacity of communities to get their important work done.

Things to know

  • This training is for adults aged 18+.
  • Please bring a reusable drink bottle and pen and paper.
  • We will be serving a light dinner.

Location

Access the multi-level car park via Flintoff Street. Parking is available in the adjacent multi-level facility. Please be mindful of signage, as parking regulations are actively enforced.

Multiple bus routes service the area, with stops conveniently located around the facility. If arriving by train, note that the walk from Greensborough Station is short but has an incline.
