  • Equity-centred leadership (identity, power, achievement, access)
  • Adaptive leadership
  • Authority and leadership
  • Diagnostic analysis
  • Understanding the ecosystem of the problem
  • Orchestrating trust, conflict and disequilibrium
  • Design principles for teaching, training, coaching
  • Strategies for change
  • The role of ‘self’ in leadership
  • Communication
  • Negotiation
  • Resilience
  • Anchoring and self-care
  • Advocacy

Recent leadership programs and workshops include:

  • City of Greater Geelong Community Leadership Program 2025
  • South Coast Community Leadership Program 2025
  • Nillumbik Leaders 2025
  • We were fortunate to have Debby facilitate multiple sessions during the 2025 Community Leadership Program. Debby’s opening session invited participants to step into the experience with curiosity and courage, creating a fun and engaging space for the group to build relationships and set goals for their community leadership journey. We were also lucky to have Debby lead the final session of the program, supporting participants to reflect on their growth and identify ways to apply their new skills in their own places and spaces. Debby’s deep knowledge of community leadership, paired with her skilful group facilitation, made her an invaluable part of the program. Debby created a supportive and energising environment where every participant felt valued and confident to contribute their ideas and perspectives. An outstanding facilitator, Debby truly elevated the entire program.

A recent leadership adventure

In May 2023, Debby completed the ‘Art and Practice of Leadership Development Program’ at the Harvard Kennedy School in Boston USA. Armed with her leadership challenge ‘Sustaining a socially engaged arts practice’, Debby underwent a powerful and immersive process of diagnosing challenges and solution design alongside the distinguished Harvard leadership faculty team and 79 brilliant fellow students.

Moonee Valley City Council contracted Debby Maziarz Productions to undertake a scoping exercise to inform the future direction of Council’s women’s leadership activities.
